The Patch to Plate signature program introduces King's students to the wonders of growing and preparing their own food. Children engage in hands-on activities as they plant, nurture and harvest a variety of produce in our on-site garden, fostering a deeper connection with the natural world and the food they eat.
Yesterday, our students cooked up delicious zucchini and potato fritters, enjoying a fun and engaging lesson. With eager hands grating, mixing and flipping, they created these crispy delights. Some students were so impressed with the taste that they couldn’t wait to make them again, already planning to pack them in their lunchboxes.
It was a fantastic, interactive experience that not only connected students to fresh ingredients, but also helped them explore new cooking skills.
